New Delhi, Oct 13 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today aid that India advocated for a strong India-Brazil-South Africa (IBSA) partnership for building a more inclusive and equitable global economic order.
Addressing the IBSA dialogue forum here, Mukherjee said that this step will go a long way in shaping a financial system that is responsive to the needs and aspirations of the developing countries.
"This cooperation is also essential to restructure the international financial system," he added.
He asserted that this is also important in view of current economic melt down which has hit the global economy and reminded the IBSA and other developing countries of their responsibility to deal with the crisis.
Mr. Pranab Mukherjee said that IBSA countries have already shown commitment for ensuring the inclusive and equitable growth and setting up of IBSA fund is a step in this direction.
Later inaugurating the Editors conference of the trilateral grouping, he extended gratitude to South Africa and Brazil for their support in the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) for opening the gate for India for civil nuclear commerce with the international community.
