London, Jan 11 (ANI): Rihanna has revealed that she prepared for her role as a tough machine gun wielding weapons expert for her upcoming movie 'Battleship' with the help of a real-life Navy officer.
Technical adviser Jacqueline Carrizosa taught the R 'n' B star military phrases, how to handle weapons, and even the correct way to salute superiors, in the war blockbuster, based on the game of the same name, and Rihanna admits she was in awe of her on-set mentor.
"My character, her name is Raikes. She's a weapons officer, she's not afraid of anything. She loves weapons, she knows them - not only her weapons, but every other weapon on the ship," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
"We had this bad-a** chick on set. Her name is Jackie, she's also in the Navy. I was playing what she really does in real life. She was all tatted (tattooed) up and I just looked at her and I was like, 'You are Raikes.'
"I watched her and I really just lived and breathed in her mindset and tried to really get into her character. She's fearless and she's one of the boys and it was really fun to just explore that," she added. (ANI)
