Perth, Jan 11 (ANI): Indian team managers are expected to approach Cricket Australia officials today to demand that security around the boundary rope of test matches be beefed up for the remainder of the Border-Gavaskar series.
Upset about remarks made by crowd members to players in the Indian team during the second test in Sydney last week, officials want extra security to monitor crowd behaviour at the WACA Ground, where the third test starts on Friday.
At the Sydney Cricket Ground batsman Virat Kohli displayed his middle finger to spectators, claiming his mother and sister had been the focus of verbal abuse, Stuff.co.nz reports.
Kohli told his followers on Twitter: "Agree cricketers don't have to retaliate. What when the crowd says the worst things about your mother and sister? The worst I've heard."
Pacer Ishant Sharma also reacted with a single finger after being taunted during the Indian team's visit to a Perth go-karting track on Monday night.
Keeping these incidents in mind, the Indian team management is intended to raise the issue with Cricket Australia today. (ANI)
