Arrival of Samsung Galaxy tab has further aggravated the android vs iPad debate. Samsung Galaxy Tab, a 7- inch slate is supposed to give Apple's iPad run for its money that had been enjoying monopoly. This Samsung Tablet is not only a single Android tablet in the market but also with its various features it is set to give competition to Apple iPad. The features and facilities may resemble to some extent but with smaller size and lightweight the galaxy tab has definitely some advantages. The processor may resemble but galaxy Tabs RAM capacity is twice that of Apple's iPad. The Samsung galaxy Tab has different capacity options in terms of internal storage and this capacity can be extended up to 320 GB.;
Let us have a point-wise comparison of both gadgets. In terms of display iPad is better. With 9.7-inch touchscreen display, the iPad is ahead of Galaxy Tab that is smaller in size and has only 7- inch display. The difference in sizes also has a bearing on resolutions. The Apple iPad has a resolution of 1024x768 while Samsung tablet has to remain content with resolution of 800x600. There is no much difference in their processors. Apple iPad uses custom A4 processor while Galaxy Tab uses 1GHz ARM processor that is very similar.When it comes to operating system iPad uses a version of Apple's iOS while Galaxy Tab uses Android. However both are working to upgrade their operating systems. In terms of Apps both offer a large number of Apps to meet the varying needs of the users. Apple App store offers 250,000 options while Android market offer 100,000 applications. Galaxy Tab and iPad a large number of common features but with front and rear facing cameras it offers facility of Video chat.
There are people who love to by Galaxy Tab and there are others who will remain faithful to Apple iPad but one thing is sure hat iPad is certainly getting completion from Galaxy Tab.
