Washington, Jan 10 (ANI): Katy Perry has pulled out of People's Choice Awards - in what would have been her first major public appearance since her split with husband Russell Brand - just days prior to the function.
The pop star took to her social networking site, twitter, to announce her decision of missing the highly anticipated Awards night.
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend," People magazine quoted her tweet.
However, she did not cite any reason for her decision.
"I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS," she added.
Robert Pattinson, Demi Lovato, Ashley Greene, Alyson Hannigan, Liam Hemsworth, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, and Jennifer Lawrence are all among the celebrities still expected to attend. (ANI)
