London, Jan 06(ANI): English wicketkeeper Matt Prior has signed up for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) auction after failing to cement a place in England's 50-over and Twenty20 squads.
Prior's one-day international career is expected to end after this move, since England will be playing 50-over and Twenty20 matches against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates next month at the time when the BPL would take place.
Craig Kieswetter and Steven Davies are considered to be ahead of Prior in the limited over line-up, The Sun reports.
Prior has been kept in the top tier of the BPL auction and if any team buys him then he will be guaranteed a minimum of 64 thousand pounds for around three weeks' of involvement.
Prior will also be optimistic over his chances of playing in the Indian Premier League if he performs well in the BPL.
The 29-year old wicketkeeper is currently in Dubai getting ready for the three match Test series against Pakistan. (ANI)
