London, Dec 30 (ANI): Boxer Amir Khan has been provided armed security on his visit to Pakistan, to protect him from kidnapping gangs.
The 25-year-old boxer from Bolton flew out on Christmas Day to watch brother Haroon in a boxing tournament, apart from visiting friends and family in the country.
Pakistani officials have given him round-the-clock protection - police armed with AK-47s.
"In car going out. Security look crazy. Got mobbed so bad outside hotel couldn't move but they were very nice," the Sun quoted Khan as tweeting.
"It is a very dangerous place," a source was quoted as saying. (ANI)
