Christine Bleakley, Adrian Chiles run up ?551 farewell bar bill

London, Dec 6 (ANI): Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles officially signed off from 'Daybreak' on Monday by racking up a 551-pound bar bill in just over an hour in a London pub.

The sacked presenters bowed out with a whimper from the ITV1 breakfast telly flop and while they were leaving for their farewell drinks, Chiles's zip had sunk lower than the show's ratings.

Colleagues including Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb joined them for the get-together after the show went off air at 8.30am but despite the small turnout, the two posed for pictures with pals and ended up with a bill of 551 pounds at the bar, which they split between them.

While Chiles downed Guinness, his co-star, who is engaged to Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard, stuck to mulled wine.

"I definitely won't miss getting up early in the mornings," the Daily Star quoted her as saying.

After two-and-a-half hours she picked up the tab and joked about the bill amount.

"Look how many friends we have," she said.

The pair, who joined Daybreak after being hailed for their on-screen chemistry on BBC1's the One Show, were sacked last month after falling ratings.

They said their goodbyes to viewers during the final minutes of the show.

"As some of you will know, this is our last show. We would just like to say thanks a million to the rest of the on-air team," Chiles said.

"I'm off to concentrate on the football and Christine is being put on ice. Bye for now," he said.

"And especially to our production staff who work harder than any of us," Bleakley said.

While Chiles will now anchor more live football coverage on ITV, Bleakley will co-host Dancing On Ice with Phillip Schofield replacing Holly Willoughby. (ANI)
