London, Dec 4(ANI): Brazil football legend Socrates has been admitted to a Sao Paulo hospital in a critical condition.
Medics at the Albert Einstein hospital said that Socrates, widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time, remained on life support on Saturday, the BBC reports.
The 57-year-old was earlier admitted to the hospital on August 20 suffering from internal bleeding, and was re-admitted on September 6 with the same problem.
He was released 16 days later.
According to reports, Socrates is suffering from "a generalised infection in the body, caused by the existence of bacteria in the bloodstream". (ANI)
