Shimla, Dec 3 (ANI): An exhibition displaying wild animals made of household waste items, was organised in Shimla with an aim to preserve environment and create awareness about wildlife conservation.
The exhibition that was opened to public on November 29th drew attention of locals and tourists alike as large number of them throng to see it.
This unique initiative was undertaken by Om Prakash Sharma who had crafted Himalayan wild life animals and birds made out of household waste like plastic, wood, fiber, paper, jute, rubber, electric lamps, cotton and other waste materials.
Sharma informed the media that he had named his exhibition as 'Waste Wild World' and the objective behind doing so was to create awareness about protecting the environment and preservation of animals.
The exhibition has become a great muse for the youngsters, as this is a unique way of educating them.
"If one visits something like this which is creative we become more aware of these things and it is more educative and interesting. So students nowdays find books boring so it is better you come here, visualize, feel and see what is its extent, what's not and it is educative and interesting," said Silkina Mankotia, a young visitor.
She added that it is very important to protect environment as we are all part of it and are dependent on it. (ANI)
