Pentagon proposes 304 million dollars arms sale to UAE

Washington, Dec 1(ANI): The Pentagon has formally proposed a 304 million dollars package, which includes "hard-target penetrator bombs" and other variants weighing 2,000 pounds and 500 pounds, to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to the Wall Street Journal, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency has told Congress that the proposed sale would "improve the UAE's capability to meet current and future regional threats."

The package, which Congress has 30 days to approve or reject, includes 600 BLU-109 2,000-pound Hard Target Penetrator bunker-buster bombs and 600 Joint Direct Attack Munition kits that give the munitions Global Positioning System guidance. (ANI)
