Sydney, Nov 28 (ANI): Fast bowler Brett Lee, who hasn't played a domestic game this season after coming down with appendicitis last month while touring South Africa with the Australian one-day team, is excited at the prospect of bowling with new pace sensation Pat Cummins.
After three weeks off bowling following surgery, Lee has declared himself ready to return, with a chance he could play for NSW in their one-day game against WA at the SCG on Wednesday.
His illness prevented him teaming up with teenager Cummins who was also on the South African tour.
Cummins and Lee have yet to play together, either for NSW or Australia, though they are both on the roster of the Sydney Sixers Big Bash League team, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
"It's great to see Patty Cummins bowling 150km/h - it's brilliant. I'm looking forward to working in tandem with him. I'd love to take the new rock and have him at the other end," Lee said.
"Being around young guys, it makes you more vibrant too, and I can learn off these players as well, as much as they can learn off me," he added. (ANI)
