London, Nov 27(ANI): England fast bowler James Anderson has said that he was disappointed over being 'rested' for the recent tour of India.
Anderson believes that he has much to prove on the Indian sub-continent.
"I was a bit disappointed when I got told I was being rested. Obviously, having a dodgy World Cup there, I wanted to go to India and prove I could do a job," the Daily Express quoted Anderson, as saying.
The 29-year-old further said that despite being one of best England bowlers, he still fears for his place in the side ahead of the series against Pakistan.
"I'm excited about the success of our bowling attack, but first and foremost, it keeps you on your toes trying to keep your place in the side," he said.
"Part of you doesn't want to get rested for that reason because you know somebody is going to come and step up to the plate," he added. (ANI)
