Sao Paulo, Nov 27(ANI): Reigning Formula One champion Sebastian Vettel, who has set the fastest time during qualifying for today's Brazilian Grand Prix, has broken Nigel Mansell's 19-year record for the most pole positions in a season.
Vettel lapped the Interlagos circuit in a minute and 11.918 seconds on Saturday to take top spot for the 15th time in 19 races, the Telegraph reports.
Mansell had set the record of 14 pole positions in a 16-race season with Williams in 1992.
Vettel's Red Bull teammate Mark Webber is second in the grid, while Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton locked out the second row for McLaren, ahead of Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Mercedes' Nico Rosberg. (ANI)
