Mumbai, Nov 26(ANI): The third and the final Test between India and West Indies at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium ended in a nerve-wracking last-ball draw today.
At the start of the fifth day, the game was heading for a stalemate with West Indies resuming their second innings on 81-2, a lead of 189.
However, Indian spinners Pragyan Ojha (6-47) and Ravichandran Ashwin (4-34) skittled the visitors for 134 to set a target of 243.
Virat Kohli (63) and Virender Sehwag (60) put India close to victory, but the second innings ended at 242-9 in the available 64 overs.
Ashwin (14) was run out off the last ball of the day, in which India needed two runs to win.
The result means that Team India took the series 2-0 after defeating West Indies in New Delhi and Kolkata.
Ashwin was adjudged the man-of-the-match and the man-of-the-series awards for his brilliant all-round display.
The 25-year-old picked 22 wickets at an average of 22.90 and scored 121 runs at an average of 40.33. (ANI)
