London, Nov.19 (ANI): Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has condemned FIFA boss Sepp Blatter for his recent comment that any act of racism in the game can be sorted out with a handshake.
He insists that any player who is racist should be punished.
The Arsenal boss believes that football's failure to crack down on racism in the past has only encouraged abuse on and off the pitch.
The Sun quoted Wenger, as saying: "I am against any discrimination. I am for zero tolerance, on the pitch and off the pitch. There is some bitterness here with Blatter and FIFA after the World Cup bid but that does not mean Blatter can say you do not have to punish racist comments. I think you have to." (ANI)
