London, Nov 16(ANI): England striker Wayne Rooney will discover his Euro 2012 fate next month when an appeal against his three-match ban is heard by UEFA.
The Football Association will argue at a hearing in Nyon, Switzerland, on December 9 that the punishment for Rooney's dismissal for kicking Montenegro's Miodrag Dzudovic is too harsh.
If the ban is upheld, the striker will miss all three of England's group games, the Daily Express reports.
There is no risk of the ban being increased on account of frivolous appeal.
It is yet to be decided whether Rooney will attend. (ANI)
