Cape Town, Nov 14(ANI): South African captain Graeme Smith has confirmed that leg-spinner Imran Tahir would not be dropped for the second and final Test in Johannesburg.
Tahir had failed to pick up a wicket on his Test debut against Australia at Newlands
However, Smith said that the conditions in Cape Town were not suitable for his leg-spinners.
"Imran's first Test would have been good for his self-confidence and he will continue to grow into his new role," Sport 24 quoted Smith, as saying.
"He has already learnt a lot from the couple of overs he bowled, but the overhead conditions and batting service offered very little assistance - while the seamers were able to cash in," he added. (ANI)
