New Delhi, Nov 8 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday wished senior party leader LK Advani on his 84th birthday and praised him for the steps that he is taking to root out corruption from the country.
" I wish our respected Advaniji on his birthday and pray for his good health. Advani has taken it as a challenge, to make our country corruption free and bring back the black money stashed in foreign banks so that it could be used for the development of the country and for the upliftment of the poor people," he told the media outside his residence here.
Among the prominent leaders of the party, who arrived at the residence of the veteran leader to wish him were, M Venkaiah Naidu and BC Khanduri.
Advani took a break from his nationwide Jana Chetna rally to celebrate his birthday with his near and dear ones in New Delhi.
He will resume his anti-corruption yatra from Rajasthan on Wednesday. He will land in Jodhpur by a special plane on Wednesday to board his Jan Chetna Rath.
Advani kicked off his nationwide tour from Sitab Diara village in Bihar on October 11, to take on the UPA Government on the corruption issue and press for return of black money stashed away abroad.
The 38-day long yatra will conclude in Delhi on November 20 in the form of a massive rally. (ANI)
