Potchefstroom (South Africa), Nov 2(ANI): Ahead of the Test series against South Africa, Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson admits that the competition between the fast bowlers is intense, but insists that the inter-team rivalry for spots wasn't on his mind.
"We've got a few bowlers who can bowl over that 140km mark, and we've all got different variations in our bowling. So, it's going to be a tough one for the selectors," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Johnson, as saying.
"There's always spots up for grabs so we'll have to wait and see what the selectors want," he added.
Earlier, on Tuesday, Johnson sent a pre-Test message to the selectors with four wickets in the tour match against South Africa A.
Johnson took 4-38 as the hosts were dismissed for just 183 in their first innings.
The first match of the series against South Africa will begin at Cape Town next week. (ANI)
