Amritsar, Oct 30 (ANI): Thousands of devotees thronged Pandori Waraich village to witness the annual two-day long 'Bhai Shaloji' fair, on Saturday, here.
According to tradition, devotees prepare cow dung cakes to place it as an offering to a tree at the Sikh shrine of Bhai Shalo. It is believed that by offering five cow dung cakes to the tree a childless couple would be blessed with a child.
The devotees, in large numbers made a beeline at the temple to offer prayers.aswinder, a devotee, expressed happiness over witnessing the fair and said that she was blessed with a son with God's grace.
"I am married for the past eleven years. My daughter is 10 years old. I did not have son for the past seven years. After seven years, I came here at Bhai Shalo fair and offered prayers. The priests gave me prayer offerings and I submitted myself in service of god. Then, next year, I was blessed with a son and I came here with my son to get the blessings," said Jaswinder.
Thousands of devotees gathered at the temple to participate in the fair where they are blessed with a son.
"According to the tradition, the annual fair has been organised. The villagers came to know that the devotees who visit the temple are blessed with a son. We offer prayers at the temple with pure heart so that we are blessed with a son," said Baba Mohan Singh, priest.(ANI)
