Washington, Oct 29 (ANI): Charlie Sheen will be back to his Television career with a new comedy series.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the FX cable channel has won the bid to broadcast his "Anger Management" comedy series.
At least three cable networks proposed to broadcast Sheen's return to the small screen according to insiders, but eventually the News Corp. owned cable network won out.
"I chose 'Anger Management' because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept," Fox News quoted Sheen as saying after securing a deal to star in the show.
The actor said he hopes his new project will give him "real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control."
The cable sitcom will be loosely based on the 2003 film of the same name that starred funnyman Adam Sandler and actor Jack Nicholson. (ANI)
