London, Oct 29 (ANI): Uma Thurman has urged her fans to donate cash to famine-hit Africa and help gather support for the region.
Thurman filmed a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) in an effort to publicise the ongoing problems in the 'Horn of Africa'.
The 41-year-old actress insisted that it is a bigger crisis than the 2010 Haiti earthquake and the Indonesian tsunami.
"When tragedy struck Indonesia and Haiti, the world responded. The famine, war, and drought affecting the Horn of Africa right now is larger than both these crises combined, and the world should be paying attention," The Daily Star quoted her as saying.
Text a donation of 10-dollars, but do more than that - forward the facts to everyone you know... We are the relief," she added. (ANI)
