London, Oct 24(ANI): Two footballers were arrested and later bailed on suspicion of drink driving after their black Range Rover car slammed into the central reservation of a motorway in Nottingham, England.
According to the Sun, Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan, 21, and Shrewsbury Town striker James Collins, 20, were involved in the incident.
"Two men were arrested shortly after 7am on suspicion of drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident," a Bridewell police station spokesperson said.No other vehicles were involved and there were no reported injuries. Both have been bailed pending further inquiries and will return at a date in December," the spokesperson added.
"Police breathalysed both men before they got into the back of the squad cars," a source told the tabloid.
Bannan has played 20 games for Aston Villa - including Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to West Bromwich Albion. (ANI)
