London, Oct 23 (ANI): As a tribute to Tintin's creator, Herge, the world premiere of the Steven Spielberg blockbuster has premiered in the comic book hero's hometown of Brussels in Belgium.
If Tintin were more than a cartoon and movie character, he would have been pushing and shoving amid all the other hometown reporters lining the red carpet.
Instead, the proverbial intrepid reporter and his creator, the late Herge, were the real stars of the show, where Belgian's Princess Astrid was a proper replacement for all the American movie royalty usually present at a Hollywood premiere, reports the Telegraph.
Immediately after the Saturday afternoon event Spielberg was due to head to Paris, where a second "premiere" was scheduled; and then on to London for the Sunday red-carpet event in Leicester Square. (ANI)
