Cape Town, Oct 16(ANI): South African fast bowler Dale Steyn reckons that former South Africa coach Mickey Arthur would be the right man to replace Tim Nielsen as the new Australian cricket coach.
Steyn said that Arthur, who is in his second year of a three-year contract with Western Australia, would excel in the position if he decided to apply for the job.
"The team he is coaching becomes part of his family and he really looks after you. He is also a fantastic man manager. If a certain area is not his area of expertise, he will get somebody in who knows how to take you to another level," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Steyn, as saying.
"He is able to get the best out of players and if Australia get him as a coach they are very, very lucky," he added.
Other candidates likely to be interviewed for the job are former Sri Lanka coach Tom Moody and former New Zealand coach Steve Rixon. (ANI)
