Sydney, Oct 15(ANI): Former Australia fast bowler Stuart Clark has said that teenage fast bowling sensation Patrick Cummins is ready for Test cricket.
The 18-year-old displayed few nerves in his international Twenty 20 debut in South Africa this week, claiming 3-25 in Australia's win at Newlands in Cape Town.
Capable of swinging the ball at speeds touching the 150 km per hour mark, Cummins is being tipped to play Test cricket sooner rather than later.
"If they pick him [Cummins], he won't let them down," The Daily Telegraph quoted Clark, as saying. He'd handle it fine. Everything we've seen from him shows he can play at that level and it's just a matter of time. I think he's a superstar," he added.
The Sydney Sixers boss said that he would have no problem with Cummins being picked for Australia's upcoming Test series against South Africa in November or home series against New Zealand and India during the summer. (ANI)
