Sydney, Oct 15(ANI): Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson, fresh from his match-winning haul for Western Australia, has said that he is confident of taking his good form into the South African tour.
Johnson claimed 5-69 from 29 overs in Tasmania's second innings to inspire WA to a thrilling 25-run Sheffield Shield victory on Friday.
"I was happy with the rhythm throughout this (Shield) game. The ball swung out there for me a fair bit. I'm just really in a good place at the moment. I feel in good nick," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Johnson, as saying.
"The wickets (in South Africa) are probably going to be a little similar (to the WACA), with that early-on seam. So I'm looking forward to that again. I'm confident at the moment," he added.
Johnson suffered a major scare when he rolled his left ankle while coming in to bowl on Tuesday, but managed to shake off the injury, which required major strapping..
"I've done it a few times now. I thought I did it worse this time," Johnson said of the injury.
"But it turned out fine. I've just got to keep strapping it and get a bit of strength into it," he added. (ANI)
