London, Oct 11 (ANI): John Travolta's upcoming movie, 'Gotti: In the Shadow of My Father', has reportedly been put on hold due to financial issues.
The movie, which is about the notorious Gotti family, stars Travolta as the late Mafia boss John Gotti, who died in prison in 2002, alongside his real-life wife Kelly Preston and Al Pacino.
According to Showbiz411.com, the filming was slated to begin in January next year, but has come to a halt and won't resume until more financing is secured.
"If (producer) Marc Fiore doesn't come up with money this week, and doesn't show that more is coming, and that he's really secured financing, it could all fall apart," The Daily Star quoted a source as telling Showbiz411.com.
According to reports, the film's producers are also facing a legal battle with Joe Pesci, who claims that he was offered a 2 million pounds deal to play Angelo Ruggiero, an associate of Gotti, but was later told that he wouldn't be getting the promised amount. (ANI)
