London, Oct.9 (ANI): England Test skipper Andrew Strauss wants to go on to bigger and better things, and one of his aims is to heap more misery and humiliation on former number one side India in all forms of the game.
Urging the England one-day side to pile on the misery on the battle-weary Indians this week, Strauss was quoted by the Daily Mail, as saying: "It was fantastic, an outstanding series win (against India). We all know how formidable India are in that form of the game."
"So to see some of the young guys come in and take their chance bodes really well for the future in the one-day game. It was actually a very fitting end to the summer. And it's now going to be a big test for the one-day team in India. I'm sure they will go there with confidence and excitement that they can do something quite special," he added.
Strauss, 34, wants to see England carry on winning to maintain their domination of the world game.
"It's been a fantastic -summer for English cricket. But now we need to go on to bigger and better things," he said.
England face Pakistan in a three- Test series in the UAE in January and then tour Sri Lanka in March. (ANI)
