Kolkata, Oct 8, (ANI): A major fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning at a fish market.
Around 14 fire tenders had to be rushed to the spot to bring the raging fire under control.
Kanti Ranjan Dutta, Station officer, West Bengal Fire Brigade said that the fire department swung into action as soon as it was alerted, they immediately rushed to the spot and took the necessary steps to douse the flames.
"I got the information from the police control at 4.30 a.m in the morning that a fire broke out at fish market, we took the necessary steps accordingly.
"The cause of the fire cannot be deciphered yet, here a huge number of thermocol cartons had been stored on the ground floor, first floor and above the roof and it caught fire," said Dutta.
Fire officials have said that no casualty or injury has occurred in the accident. (ANI)
