Pune, Oct 8 (ANI): The English Premiere League team Blackburn Rovers manager, Steve Kean has said that his team had a wonderful week in India.
The English club, which defeated Pune FC 3-0 yesterday became the first premiere league team to play a match on Indian soil.
Addressing mediapersons in Pune, Kean said that the team created good chances that resulted in an impressive win by them.
"I think we created 49 chances out of which 30 were in target, you know that assures our possession was good and the way we created the chances were good. I think we would take that forward.
"We have a very, very good week; yesterday we played with children under-16. It has been a great week for the guys to spend a lot of time together. We will go back ....... it has been a fantastic week," Kean stated.
Earlier on October 6, Blackburn Rovers enthralled the audience by playing with budding talents from the under-16 Rovers Stars tournament in Pune.
Blackburn Rovers, which is owned by Indian poultry giants Venky's, was due to play in India earlier in July but had to cancel their trip at the last minute due to the serial blasts in Mumbai that killed more than 20 people.(ANI)
