London, Oct 7(ANI): A trial at the Liverpool Crown Court has come out with the revelation that a former US marine, who smuggled guns in his luggage on commercial flights to UK, used to be Madonna's bodyguard at one point of time.
The smuggler, Steven Greenoe, was arrested in July 2010 and is currently awaiting sentencing in the U.S, the Daily Mail reported.
He used to buy guns from American gun shops, break them down to their component parts and then smuggle them into the UK in his luggage, the court heard.
He bought a total of 81 guns, some of which were smuggled and used in 'serious criminal offences' in the UK.
His ex-wife told the court that despite his celebrity clients he was living a criminal double life. (ANI)
