London, Oct 5 (ANI): Manchester United's training and medical departments have taken a dig at Wayne Rooney's hair transplant saying that it may have worked better for his form than all the coaching and training they have been able to impart to him.
"It seems we can forget coaching manuals, training sessions, diet, rehydration, heart-rate monitors, yoga, activation, ice baths, 200-pound boots and omega wave technology," the Sun quoted Man U's Academy Director Brian McClair, as saying.
"Apparently all one needs to play brilliantly is a follicular unit transplant!" he added.
And according to reports, Rooney's new hairdo is also providing much entertainment to his Man U teammates.
The footballer and his new hair do are now the focus of the youth team's traditional Christmas pantomime, this year named Hair We Go.
"Wayne's a good sport and will laugh along but because the play is featured so heavily on him, whoever gets the part will no doubt cop abuse further down the line," a source told the paper. (ANI)
