London, Sept 22 (ANI): A contract signed by Beatles' manager Brian Epstein, which reveals that the band refused to play before a segregated audience has been sold for 23,033 dollars (14,800 pounds).
The contract, signed on 24th March, 1965, specifies that the Fab Four "not be required to perform in front of a segregated audience" for their 31st August, 1965 show at the Cow Palace in Daly City, California, the Telegraph reported.
Although the buyer was not disclosed, it has been revealed that the contract was sold far above the pre-auction estimate of 3000-5000 dollars at a Los Angeles auction held by Nate D. Sanders.
The Cow Palace concert of the Liverpool group was its third major tour in the United States. (ANI)
