London, Sept 19 (ANI): Simon Cowell is said to be secretly planning to open 'X Factor -The Musical' at a West End theatre.
The 51-year-old TV mogul has already been in talks with TV comedian Harry Hill and a top music producer to put together a humorous script, which will appeal to the millions of fans of 'The X Factor'.
"Simon is excited by the idea of taking The X Factor brand on to the London stage," the Mirror quoted a source as saying.
"He is looking at great new songs and some laughter.
"It would be a perfect night out for X Factor fans and former stars of the show could be involved in it," the source stated.
According to another source, Harry Hill has been approached to sharpen up the script and guarantee laughs at the musical.
"Simon doesn't want a super-serious musical. He thinks if this is going to be something that works, it needs to be funny and have songs people might sing along to, but also laugh along with," the source said.
Adding: "Given how much Simon enjoys making money, I'm surprised he didn't think of it sooner." (ANI)
