Mumbai, Sep 18(ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan presented the 'Giants International Awards' on Saturday in Mumbai to personalities from different walks of life for the valuable contribution made by them to the society.
The prominent personalities who received the award included businessman Naresh Goel, film producer Ronnie Screwvala, Bollywood actor Farhan Akthar and fashion photographer late Gautam Rajadhyaksha.
Indian novelist Shobha De received the award on behalf of Rajadhyaksha.
Akhtar who was felicitated for his contribution to the field of Indian cinema, said he felt privileged on receiving this award.
"Like I said, I said it feels great, I feel very very honoured because like I said the people behind this award, behind this body Giants International, they are very very respected people, people that we have grown up admiring, whose achievements are really really exemplary, so it feels great to receive an award from them," he said.
The objective of the award is to help create awareness, among businessmen and professionals, about their responsibilities and duties towards the society. (ANI)
