London, Sept 17 (ANI): Brit-winning singer-songwriter James Morrison has slammed the 'X Factor' and cited JLS as an example of the show's bad influence.
The 27-year-old insisted that the group cannot sing at all and wondered how their albums still sell out so rapidly.
"That show sends out the message that you can be famous for doing f*** all and that you can succeed even if you're not a good singer," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
"JLS are the worst singers I've ever heard. I've heard their raw vocals in the studio and they just cannot sing, yet they've had multi-million selling albums.
"That's a weird message to give kids. People need to keep believing in real music, yet these X Factor idiots are on the radio and that's a downward spiral," he stated.
Morrison even revealed that he'd disown his two-year-old daughter Elsie if she ever goes on the show when she's older.
"I'd tell her: 'If you want to sell your soul, don't come home to me.' I'm not letting Simon Cowell mess with my kid's head," she added. (ANI)
