London, September 16 (ANI): Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry wants his team to pull up their socks soon in the Champions League after the team was held to a one all draw by Napoli in their last match.
Although, Roberto Mancini's boys have been performing brilliantly in the home league, the club needs to get a grip at the Champions League.
Barry's, 30, hopes of winning a Champions League match almost ended when rival team's Edinson Cavani scored the opening goal. But fortunately City's Aleksandar Kolarov scored the equalizer in the 74th minute.
"We're going to have to adapt very quickly to the Champions League," The Sun quoted the midfielder saying.
"We know the Premier League very well but this is a different style of game. The fans and a lot of people perhaps expected us to go out and roll over Napoli. But it just doesn't happen like that," he added.
Barry said, "As a team we learned a lot here. It was a different style of game from what we're used to but we've made that next step and we have a great chance of qualifying." (ANI)
