Ramdev to commence a march against graft from Sept. 20

Mumbai, Tue, 13 Sep 2011 ANI

Mumbai, Sep 13 (ANI): Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has announced plans to commence a march against graft from September 20. The march will begin from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

Ramdev said his 'Yatra' would focus on three main issues including corruption, black money and financial freedom.

On September 20th, the second term of Bharat Swabhiman will start from Jhansi. The 'Vijay Yatra' would start from a place where Rani of Jhansi defeated the Britishers, with an initiative to bring back the black money amounting to rupees 400 crores," Ramdev told mediapersons on the sideline of a television reality show here on Monday.

"We got religious and political freedom, but financial freedom would be our another highlighted issue apart from corruption and black money. Change of entire system with the help of financial freedom. These would be our three main issues of concern," he added.

In June this year, Baba Ramdev sat on an indefinite hunger strike at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi with his admirers across 624 districts for a day, in a bid to trigger government action on the repatriation of an estimated 400 trillion rupees worth of black money stashed in offshore accounts.

But less than 24 hours into Baba Ramdev's fast, Delhi Police on the Central Government's orders cracked down on their camp late night. (ANI)
