Mumbai, Sep.13 (ANI): Bollywood actor, Shahrukh Khan released the music of his forthcoming film 'Ra One' here on Monday.
The actor dedicated the album to late filmmaker Yash Johar.
The album was released by Bollywood filmmaker and Khan's close friend, Karan Johar. A big function was organised to release the music of the film and Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Khan himself danced to their film's popular numbers.
Since public expectations are high, Khan expressed disappointment as his film's music had leaked two days prior to the film's formal music release.
"The music of the film is still going to do well. We are thankful to all our business partners for being so kind to us. I wish it hadn't happened because I wanted it to release today, come out on television, so that all of you talk about it," said Khan.
Khan interacted with the audience and welcomed all questions asked by mediapersons.
The film boasts of special effects, which is why it took four years to complete the film. Khan said that he was delighted that Indian cinema had evolved over the years.
"This is one of its kind and I say this out of my 30 years experience in Indian cinema, having got so much. I don't know the fate of the film, I don't know how many people will like it, but this is genuinely everyone who is sitting here, everyone who is not sitting here, this is a very special film for all of us. I want you all to know this also, all of us in the entertainment industry do look at it as something that will take Indian films forward, not because I have made it, not because all of us are apart of it, I think it's important that Indian films go forward," said Khan.
The science-fiction film, which is directed by Anubhav Sinha, is slated to release on October 26. The music of the film is composed by duo Vishal-Shekhar. (ANI)
