Haddin out for second Test improvement against Sri Lanka

Kandy (Sri Lanka), Sep.7 (ANI): For Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin, the second Test against Sri Lanka starting in Kandy on Thursday is all about improvement.

Haddin believes the challenge now for Australia after winning the first test by 125 runs is not staying on top of their opponents but bettering their own efforts in Kandy.

"I don't like the word momentum. I like us to continue to get better as a cricket team," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Haddin, as saying.

"Yes, we played well in the first Test but, as a group, we have to make sure we take small steps forward to becoming a better cricket team. We don't want the inconsistent results we've had over the last few years. We've got to make sure we try and get better and better every time we step onto the field," he added.

The second Test between the two sides will be played at the Pallekele Stadium, and it appears to be very different from the dustbowl in Galle for the first Test which ICC match referee Chris Broad labelled "poor" following that match. (ANI)
