Ronnie Wood was virtually kidnapped by Damien Hirst for forced rehab stint

London, Sept 7 (ANI): Guitarist Ronnie Wood has revealed that English artist Damien Hirst almost kidnapped him to get him into rehab.

The 64-year-old Rolling Stones' member also confessed having spent a lot of money on booze and drugs in the past and thanked the 46-year-old art collector for saving his life, while talking on his Absolute Radio Classic Rock show.

"I've blown millions of pounds on booze and drugs in the past, but Damien rescued me," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

''He bundled me into the back of a bread van to avoid the paparazzi and then whisked me away on his private plane.

''There began my life of recovery.

"I owe that man a lot," Wood added. (ANI)
