London, Sept 4 (ANI): A charity auction in memory of Freddie Mercury will be held on what would have been the Queen singer's 65th birthday, and a host of stars are expected to attend it.

Around 300 friends and fans of Mercury, including bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May, will be at the event at the Savoy Hotel on Monday.

Among the items being auctioned off will be an acoustic guitar from the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert in 1992 and a chance to appear in the London hit musical 'We Will Rock You'.

All proceeds will go the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an AIDS charity set up by Queen after the singer's death in 1992.

Other celebrities attending include Chris Evans, Stephen Fry and Matt Lucas.

They are all being encouraged to dress up as Mercury.

In tribute, comedian and Queen superfan, Rhys Thomas, has put together a video to show off Mercury's talent and humour.

"What we tried to do was show Freddie's best moments, we wanted to show Freddie's humour," Sky News quoted the comedian as saying. (ANI)
