New Delhi, Sep 3 (ANI): Reacting to media report that they are likely to recommend return to pre-1953 status of Jammu and Kashmir, the group of interlocutors on Saturday said its final recommendations do not exist.
In a statement, the interlocutors - journalist Dileep Padgaonkar, Radha Kumar and Central Information Commissioner M. M. Ansari - said: "The report is purely speculative in nature. The group of interlocutors is presently engaged in preparing a draft of its final report which is expected to be submitted to the government of India before its term ends on October 12, 201."
"The three members of the group are yet to enumerate, let alone discuss and finalise the recommendations. They will do so after they return from their last visit to Jammu and Kashmir in the later half of this month," the statement added.
The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, appointed the three-member panel comprising on October 13 last year to ascertain the cross section of opinions, including that of separatists.
The interlocutors have so far made ten visits to Jammu and Kashmir and covered 18 of the 22 Districts.
