Galle, Sep 2(ANI): Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon says that he will hold his extraordinary Test debut against Sri Lanka in Galle close to his heart.
Lyon dismissed Kumar Sangakkara with his first ball in Test cricket and finished with figures of 5-34 as Sri Lanka was shot out for 105 in reply to Australia's 273.
The 23-year-old is only the 14th bowler in history to take a wicket with his first ball in Test cricket, and the second Australian since Arthur Coningham did it against England in 1894.
"It's been the best couple of days of my life receiving the baggy green (cap) off Greg Chappell and to be able to take five wickets on debut is something pretty special," the Daily Telegraph quoted Lyon, as saying.
"I'll hold it pretty close to my heart," he added.
Australia was today bowled out for 210 in their second innings, leaving Sri Lanka a target of 379 for victory. (ANI)
