Sania through to second round of US Open women's doubles

New York, Sep 1(ANI): Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and her Russian partner Elena Vesnina moved into the second round of the mixed doubles event at the US Open by beating of Samantha Crawford and Madison Keys.

Mirza and Vesnina registered a straight sets 6-2, 6-0, win over the American pair at Court 10.

Vesnina also moved into the second round of the mixed doubles with Leander Paes.

Paes and Vesnina defeated Nadia Petrova of Russia and Jamie Murray of Britain 6-2, 6-7(7), 1-0(6). (ANI)
