London, Aug 31(ANI): England Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad is convinced that today's Twenty20 international against India in Manchester will be a 'fantastic occasion' for the new breed of big-hitters in the team.
County cricket's best young players - Alex Hales, a destructive batsman from Nottinghamshire, Jos Buttler, who has overflowed with innovation and confidence at Somerset, and Ben Stokes, dubbed as the new Andrew Flintoff, - are all hoping for a debut today.
"We have the Twenty20 world champions against the 50-over world champions. Old Trafford is a sell-out so it is a fantastic occasion for the young players," the Sun quoted Broad, as saying.
"Alex Hales is about 6ft 4in and strikes the ball hard. He has an extremely high strike-rate in Twenty20. Jos Buttler can hit over the keeper or fine leg and next ball has the power to hit a straight six 20 rows back."
"And Stokesy is a strong guy, a big hitter of the ball. There's a lot of young, exciting talent around," he added. (ANI)
