London, Aug 30(ANI): Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly desperate to strengthen his squad after Sunday's humiliating Premier League defeat against Manchester United.
According to the Sun, Wenger had a 6.2 million pound bid accepted for Brazilian left-back Andre Santos, and has lined up an eight million pound move for Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda.
He has also offered seven million pounds for Chelsea centre-back Alex and is keen on midfielder Yossi Benayoun.
With the transfer window closing tomorrow night, he has not given up on Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill. (ANI)
