Galle (Sri Lanka), Aug.29 (ANI): Australia will get their first look at the venue for the opening Test against Sri Lanka when they train at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on Monday.
The venue will host the opening Test of a three-game series in the island nation from Wednesday and Australia will be keen to get a feel for local conditions as well as have a good look at the pitch being prepared for the game.
It's that pitch which captain Michael Clarke will go a long way to determining the make-up of Australia's team for the Test.
Among the questions Clarke and selectors have to answer is whether to play one or both of spin bowlers Michael Beer and Nathan Lyon and whether Shaun Marsh or Usman Khawaja should get the nod for the vacant No.6 role in the batting line-up, The Age reports. (ANI)
